Hana turns up the heat with R&B scorcher ‘Be with U’

It takes precisely 23 seconds for Hana to leave you smitten on her song of summertime romance, ‘Be with U’.

Hailing from Southwark, south London, Hana sings with feather-light softness and projects the sultry passion of Aaliyah and Astrud Gilberto at the same time.

The Lonnie Liston Smith-sampling ‘Be with U’ was produced by Suicidal Villain, and feels perfect for golden sands and cloudless skies (“Let’s got to a place only we know / Copacabana, baby, Rio”).

And the producer’s irresistible beat was the genesis for this track, Hana told Fringe Frequency.

“I heard it in a session and I knew straight away I had to jump on it,” she told us. “I started freestyling in my room one day, and the verses just came. Ultimately, I think I just wanted to write something that encapsulated the feeling of being in love, and, looking back now, Brazil was definitely in the back of my mind.”

Old-school R&B, such as Musiq Soulchild, Faith Evans and Sade, are some of Hana’s inspirations. In April, she released another head-turner in ‘So Long’.
