Kitty, Daisy & Lewis are back to enrich our lives with another smattering of moreish rock and soul. ‘Down on My Knees’ is the first single from the group’s forthcoming new album, Superscope.

The Kentish Town siblings having been playing old-school R&B, soul, rockabilly, folk, and swing since their school days. Hear their music playing back-to-back against their influences – who include Sonny Boy Williamson, Johnny Cash and Muddy Waters, among others – and you may struggle to discern whether or not it’s music recorded in the 21st century that you’re hearing.

Kitty, Daisy & Lewis’ new single, ‘Down on My Knees’, is classic rock ‘n’ roll to reve your engine to – rip-roaring rock in the style of Chuck Berry and Little Richard, with the trio’s adept harmonies giving it that modern hook.

“We have self-written, produced and engineered every waveform in our analogue studios to bring forth new colour, new dimensions, new values and a whole new experience,” said the band on their Facebook page. “Superscope is our array of passionate, soulful and fiery songs injected with fierce guitars and reckless rhythms.”

The group previous albums, have included tunes about first love, break-ups, and new love, many of which have become fan favourites – the trio’s last album, The Third, produced by Mick Jones of The Clash, included several favourites of ours, such as ‘Feeling of Wonder’ and ‘Never Get Back’.

You can listen to a Spotify playlist of album inspirations by the band, called ‘Superscope Inspiration’.
