Listen to weekend ice-breaker ‘Wild Alive’ by Moondude

The music of south London group, Moondude, sounds like a cross between The Kooks’s early material and surf-rock wanders Gengahr.

It’s chilled shoegaze, almost to the point of “easy listening”, but with an air of intentional detachment from the singer’s vocals.

Their debut single, ‘Displaced’, appeared online last month, and is the stuff of Saturday morning drives and lunchtimes spent in suburban cafés.

Now they’ve follow it up with ‘Wild Alive’, an innocent, urgent-sounding collage of summery tones that’s easy on the ears.

Have listen to their latest track below, complete with an animated video, directed by Jenny Wright.
