New Waves 2018: Taliwhoah

Allur­ing, genre-bend­ing pop music is Tali­whoah’s forte. Born in Lon­don, and based in Los Ange­les, this singer-song­writer had a stel­lar 2017 that saw her release the sin­gles ‘Details’ and ‘Meds’. The lat­ter is a gor­geous elec­tro-pop bel­ter that brings the likes of Tinashe, Ray Blk and Nao to mind. She fol­lowed those up with her debut EP, New Wave Order — Vol 1, which fea­tures appear­ances by Lev­elle Lon­don and Kojey Rad­i­cal.

Next, she’s get­ting ready to release Vol 2 of her EP series, and has also wrapped up a few col­lab­o­ra­tions with oth­er artists and producers.

In a mes­sage to Fringe Fre­quen­cy, she says: “2018 is going to be the year I don’t hold back. I’m open­ing myself up to a lot of oppor­tu­ni­ties that I’ve worked for, and I’m real­ly grow­ing as a woman and artist. I’m start­ing to push my bound­aries as a singer-song­writer, so expect a lot more from me.” No doubt.
