Roundhouse Rising 2018 full line-up revealed: Little Simz, Junglepussy, Cleo Sol, VanJess, and more
Little Simz, Junglepussy, Cleo Sol, and plethora of new names will perform at the new music and arts festival, Roundhouse Rising, starting next month.
The full programme for the 10-day festival has now been revealed, and promises to showcase developing talents from all types of artistic and technical disciplines, including grime, acoustic music, sound production and DJing.
The festival takes place between February 21 and March 4.
It will culminate with Welcome to Wonderland: The Experience, a conceptual all-day event, curated by Little Simz. The pioneering performer is bringing together some of her favourite new artists, including rising star Cleo Sol, the five-piece collective fusing afrobeats, hip hop and jazz, Ezra Collective, and New Yorker rapper Junglepussy.
Simz has also enlisted teenage MC Lioness, south London songstress Tawiah, and the incredible neo-soul duo VanJess. Producer-DJs IAmNoBodi, DJ Miller and OTG will fill the gaps between live sets, and way from the main stage, discussions, exhibitions and food are planned.
Other festival highlights include a sound clash, a producers’ day and an artist toolkit day. There will also be new additions in the form of the Roundhouse Resident Artist (Awate), Rising Futures, a day of creative masterclasses and workshops for those looking to take their next step in music, and a night of emerging talent with BBC Music Introducing, hosted by DJ Target.
See the full agenda and line-up at the bottom of this post.
Tickets for Roundhouse Rising events start from £5, and can be purchased from the Roundhouse. Some events are free.
